“It’s quick money, especially if all you’ve been doing are small, crappy jobs every day, waiting to be paid at the end of the month. With this, you have cash in hand at the end of the day.”

MY STORY
Exotica
Visit for the sight, not the vulnerable bodies
Exhausted
We recognize the gap of knowledge in understanding sex tourism’s prosperity by defining it as the interleaving concepts ranging from patriarchy, orientalism, colonialist mindset to the fetishization of the “exotic East.” We aim to work toward closing it through the use of communicative media channels, both in online and offline space.
From acknowledgment, we define further actions to close the power gap, so South East Asian women can have a broader range of job options, starting with the financial support directed toward them. We aim to localize our effort in setting up microfinance pools that support women’s small businesses for capital independence. In addition, recognizing the lack of primary healthcare, ranging from mental, physical, and specifically sexual health, for sex workers in the field, we aim to provide such services at no cost for those who need it the most.
